This information has been excerpted (with permission) from 20 Great Easy Woods Walks near Seacoast New Hampshire, by Phil Blampied, copyright 1999. Trail Guide County-owned land behind the Strafford County jail and county-run Riverside Rest Home has been developed for recreational use. A one mile loop trail descends to the edge of the Cocheco River and then back again. A varied terrain of woods, cornfields and riverbank makes for an interesting stroll of a little under an hour. |
