  Trail Guide

A 250-acre woodland with well-established trails along the banks of the Salmon Falls River, Vaughan Woods State Park is well worth the trip. This slightly hilly, riverside woodland offers beautiful views of Salmon Falls from trails that follow a rise about the river. The trails loop around to and from the parking area and are easy to follow.

Trying the different choices at some of the forks in the paths will give you an hour or two of pleasant strolling. The trail network is 3 miles long, although with the multiple loops, it is easy to walk less than that if you choose. Trail maps are usually available on site during the park's open season.

In winter, the gate to the parking lot is closed. Many people park along the roadside when the gate is closed.
